Near Barisal in the Bay of Bengal peaple cross a tidal canal on a wooden pedestrian bridge. There are hardly any roads or cars in this region. The region is interlaced with canals and streams. This river delta system is always in danger of flooding. Millions of people live in poverty and in fear of losing everything in the next flood.
